Playa San Miguel and the immediate surroundings are a remote area in the northern Pacific region Guanacaste. Guanacaste is characterized by dry forest, which means it gets quite dry and hot in the dry season, with a nice breeze at the cost. It is located at the west coast of the Nicoya peninsula, on a stretch of pristine beaches with beautiful nature and colorful sunsets. It is a great spot for outdoor activities like surfing or boogie boarding, sea kayaking or horseback riding. The neighboring beach of Playa San Miguel is Playa Coyote, offering a similar profile to Playa San Miguel with additional accommodations and dining options.
Infrastructure is comparatively low. The closest town to our venue is San Francisco de Coyote. The town offers basic services, including two small supermarkets, a couple of restaurants and “sodas” (small restaurants offering typical Costa Rican food) as well as a coffee shop and a gas station. Please note that there is no bank or ATM, so withdrawing money closeby is not possible. However, most places in Costa Rica accept credit cards.
